Welcome! I'm Jessica. I'll be using this space to document our upcoming BIG TRIP, both to keep records for myself and my family, and for those of you back home who are interested in following along. I'll start with a brief introduction. We are a Canadian family of five. My husband Steve will be on sabbatical and hopes to work to some degree along the way. I am taking a total leave of absence from my job in health care. We have three kids who are 10, 7, and 5 years old. The plan for them is to take a break from formal education, and use the world as our classroom, including a couple of months at an alternative international school in Bali. More on that later. This trip has been a long time coming, and the planning process has been A LOT. Here is a brief look at our current itinerary: January: Japan and Thailand February: Thailand March: Malaysia, Malaysian Borneo and Singapore April - June: Indonesia, mostly Bali We are just under two months out
